I was born and raised in the Texas Panhandle and began my advanced education at West Texas State University where I completed my studies with a B.S. in Chemistry.
I continued my studies at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio where I received my Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1990, with honors, and received the Senior Student of the Year Award. While in school, I developed an extreme interest in the cosmetic aspects of Dentistry and what I could do to improve the appearance and self-esteem of my patients. I conducted extensive research in the area of porcelain veneers and presented my publications at the IADR in Montreal and San Francisco.
I moved to Wichita Falls to open my private practice in 1991 and have been in practice here ever since. I chose to open my practice in Wichita Falls because it is close to my home and family and because there was an unmet need for the advanced cosmetic services that I provide.
I continue to study extensively, completing over 100 hours of C.E. yearly, with the focus on Cosmetic and Reconstructive Dentistry and the Neuromuscular treatment of TMJ disorders and chronic facial pain. At the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies I have completed all levels, achieving the level of Master Aesthetic Dentist. I have also completed extensive studies of Neuromuscular Dentistry utilizing advanced computerized instrumentation to bring the absolute best treatment available to my patients. I am constantly testing and evaluating new technologies and treatment approaches always looking for ways to improve my patients care and make their visits to my office as pleasant as possible.
I am a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, International Academy of Comprehensive Aesthetics, Academy of Computerized Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, and the Thirteenth District Dental Society.
